The London EV Company (LEVC), formerly known as The London Taxi Company, overcame the complex certification process in order to provide the first ever electric taxi in London. Part of this public transport revolution is the deployment of power stations, with the Battersea Power Station as both its brand and starting point. Spreading out from the Circus West Village as its center, there is a plan for almost 1,000 electric charging points, with 57 already available. The plan for the future is not only an English but a global one.
The all-new modell TX will not only run on clean energy, but will also be multifunctional and offer, among others, wheelchair accessibility, air conditioning, phone and laptop charging possibilities and on-board wifi. “After extensive testing, LEVC’s new taxi is ready to do the job it was made for: transport people around this great city of London safely, cleanly and stylishly. Better for passengers, more cost effective for drivers, it will play a major role in helping to improve air quality benefiting all Londoners. I am immensely proud of the work we have carried out so far: we have produced a new icon, the world’s most advanced electric taxi,” said Chris Gubbey, CEO of LEVC.
