Large-Scale Storage Systems Will Play an Important Role at ees Europe 2017

From 31 May to 2 June the ees Europe, the largest and best-known exhibition for batteries and energy storage systems on the continent, will take place at the Munich fair centre. Solar Promotion GmbH, organizer of the exhibition, sees large-scale storage systems as a key pillar of the future energy supply and devotes special attention to it at this year’s exhibition.

Electrical energy storage systems play a leading role in the global search for clean and reliable energy supply systems and are compatible with smart management applications, which allow a flexible reaction to ups and downs of natural energy input. Due to its various benefits the representatives of the ees Europe state, that the “demand for large-scale storage facilities is rapidly increasing” in Europe.

In this context, the meaning of large-scale storage systems for industrial use is also considerable as it has a cost-saving effect if equipped with intelligent software reacting to current energy demand phases and energy prices. Exhibitors such as Roger Lin, Senior Director of Product Marketing, NEC Energy Solutions, Inc. also see great potential in the idea of virtual power plants: “In future, large-scale storage systems will become an integral part of the power grids and as such will bolster the global energy transition towards power provision from renewable sources of energy. ees Europe is therefore the ideal platform for us to showcase our solutions to trade visitors and to seek dialogue with experts.”
